Extended Play YouTube Series

As the production manager for Extended Play, I orchestrated the creation of a YouTube series that highlighted local musical talent. I oversaw every aspect of the production process, from scouting artists and locations to coordinating shoots and ensuring the timely release of episodes. The project spanned three months, during which we produced and released four unique episodes, each featuring a different local musician in a carefully selected setting that complemented their style and sound.

Essential Elements.

I immersed myself in the local music scene, attending numerous shows and exploring social media to discover unique and captivating artists for the series. I searched for and secured diverse filming locations, including our local art museum and downtown tattoo shops, considering factors such as acoustics, lighting, and visual appeal.

For the scheduling and coordination I managed the complex scheduling needs of musicians, location owners, and the filming team, ensuring efficient and smooth production processes. In regards to the creative direction I collaborated closely with each team member and featured artist to understand and realize the creative vision within the context of the series.

When it came to filming day I supervised all aspects of the filming process, ensuring high-quality output for each episode.

Results.

We successfully produced and released four episodes of Extended Play over a three-month period and provided a platform for local musicians to showcase their talent and reach a wider audience.

My team created visually engaging content that highlighted both the artists and unique local venues. I fostered positive relationships within the local music community, enhancing the series' reputation and potential for future seasons. Together we delivered a high-quality YouTube series that effectively showcased local musical talent and creativity.
